Darlington Point Solar Farm

The Darlington Point Solar Farm is a 333.0 MW DC single-axis tracking project located approximately 10km south of the town of Darlington Point in the Murrumbidgee shire of western-NSW and on 1,993 acres of former grazing land adjacent to TransGrid’s Darlington Point substation at Donald Ross Drive.

The Darlington Point Solar Farm is jointly owned by Octopus Investments and Edify Energy and has an approximate capital cost of $450m. A power purchase agreement has been entered into with Delta Electricity for the supply of 150 MW of renewable energy.

The NSW Department of Planning and Environment granted the Development Consent for Darlington Point Solar Farm on 7 December 2018. A copy of the Planning Approvals and related documents can be found here.

A turnkey Engineering, Procurement and Construction contract has been awarded to a consortium of Signal Energy and Canadian Solar, and the latter will also provide Operations and Maintenance Services under Edify Energy’s overall Asset Management.
